For most Northwest Indiana casino goers, a 10x or 100x win would send them over the moon with joy. Winning is the name of the game for any slot player, whether online or at a brick-and-mortar casino.
Recently, a Chicago man hit it very, very big, and on his very first visit to the Hard Rock Casino in Gary, Indiana. The big winner, who has declined to release his name to the public, played just $2.50 on a progressive penny slot, winning a jaw-dropping $293,791.80 on just one spin. That’s an astounding 117,517x return on investment.
The lucky winner was playing the Jinse Dao slot game, Ox edition. The particular machine is one of six in a bank of Jinse Dao slot machines. Any of the six Jinse Dao slot machines had a chance of winning the progressive jackpot.
Congratulations to the Winner
The president of the Hard Rock Casino in Gary, Matt Schuffert, was among the first to congratulate the lucky winner.
“Since the grand opening in May, we have heard lots of positive feedback from our guests about our many new and popular slot machines,” Schuffert said. “We are always very happy when one of our guests has a big win on either our new slot machines or at our table games.”
In August 2020 alone, records show the Hard Rock Casino has paid out more than $10 million in slot winnings.
